Fictional portrait of a special education teacher

I used to bounce between a goal bank, a spreadsheet, and a half-finished progress note. Keeping the goal and the data together means I can leave school with tomorrow ready.

Fictional portrait of a speech-language pathologist

By Friday, I was reconstructing session data from sticky notes. A two-tap log keeps the week clear while it is still fresh.

Family updates used to take longer than the session notes. Starting from the data gives me room to add the context only I know.

I do not need another compliance system. I need the goal, the trend, and the next question in one place before the meeting starts.

Reading

Sam will improve reading skills.

Given a grade-level passage, S.M. will read aloud at 95 WCPM with fewer than 5 errors, improving from a baseline of 62, on 3 consecutive weekly probes by May 2027.

Behavior

J.T. will behave appropriately in class.

When frustrated with a task, J.T. will request a break using a break card instead of leaving the area, in 80% of observed incidents across 4 consecutive weeks, as measured by ABC data.

Writing

Will work on writing paragraphs.

Given a topic and graphic organizer, A.R. will write a paragraph with a topic sentence, three details, and a conclusion, scoring 4/5 on the class rubric in 3 consecutive samples.

Trust and safety

Privacy isn't a policy here.
It's the architecture.

Questions, answered honestly

Do I have to enter student names?

No. IEP Studio is designed to work with initials or a private classroom code. We also ask you not to enter names, birthdates, ID numbers, or other identifying details in free-text fields.

Is this FERPA compliant?

FERPA responsibilities depend on how a school or district uses a service and what information is entered. IEP Studio does not claim a government FERPA certification. We minimize student data, encrypt account data in transit and at rest, never sell customer content, and do not use it to train AI models. Districts can contact us about a data privacy agreement.

What makes the goal drafts measurable?

Each template and Goal Studio draft separates the condition, observable behavior, mastery criterion, measurement method, and timeline. You bring the student's baseline and professional judgment; IEP Studio gives you a clearer structure to review with the IEP team.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. The Free plan never requires a card. If you choose Pro, you can cancel renewal anytime and keep access through the end of the paid billing period.

I'm a related service provider (SLP, OT, counselor). Is this for me?

Yes. The goal bank includes communication, fine motor, and social-emotional domains, and the progress-monitoring tools work for any measurable goal.
