Privacy Policy

What we collect

Account data: your email address and, optionally, your name and role. Content you create: goals, student initials, grade bands, progress data points, and notes. Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type) kept for security and abuse prevention.

We intentionally provide no fields for student names, birthdates, or ID numbers, and we ask you not to enter directly identifying student information anywhere in the product, including free-text notes.

How we use it

We use this information to provide and secure the service, respond to support requests, and manage subscriptions. We do not sell or rent your data, serve third-party advertising, or use your content to train AI models.

AI processing

Goal descriptions and the progress data needed to generate a family summary are sent to Anthropic's commercial API when you choose to use those features. Anthropic states that commercial API inputs and outputs are not used to train its models by default and that standard API inputs and outputs are deleted from its backend within 30 days, subject to its policy-enforcement, legal, and contractual exceptions. Do not include student names or other direct identifiers in prompts.

Processors

We use Supabase for database and authentication services, Vercel for application hosting, and Anthropic for optional AI drafting and summary generation. Payment processing, when enabled, is handled by a PCI-compliant processor; card numbers do not touch our servers.

Your rights

You can export your data and request deletion of your account and active records. Service-provider backups may be retained temporarily for security, disaster recovery, legal obligations, or policy enforcement. For any privacy request, contact hello@iepstudio.app.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will notify account holders by email before the change takes effect.
